Dear Casper Community,

We are writing to follow up, and announce that the transition of the interim board of directors of the Casper Association has reached a successful conclusion. And as we know, endings hallmark new beginnings.

‍

The new board of directors (Michael Steuer, President of the Board, Matthew Schaffnit and Pascal Schmid, Board Directors) would like to extend our gratitude to the prior board members for their commitment, contributions and support. We are honored to be a part of the network’s next phase of development.

‍

We are also pleased to announce that in addition to a change in governance, Matt Schaffnit, current Chief Financial & Operating Officer, has been appointed CEO of the Casper Association. Michael Steuer will assume the role of President of the Board of Directors of the Casper Association, in addition to serving as its CTO.

‍

The previous and current boards firmly believe that Matt and Michael's complementary experience and talents position the Casper Network for a successful and prosperous future.

‍

“Transitions are ripe with opportunity, and I am confident the Casper Association is well positioned to seize the opportunity to significantly grow the Casper Network, its ecosystem and its community of builders, validators and network participants. I’m grateful that Matt joins me in leading these efforts,” noted Michael Steuer.

“I’m grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me by the previous and current boards as well as Michael. I’m optimistic that with alignment, focus and, most importantly, teamwork, we have the ingredients for success. I am especially optimistic because of Michael’s leadership in product, technology and engineering,”  Matt expressed.
