We are delighted to announce that Casper Blockchain has hit 1 million in block height! Since the launch of Casper Network mainnet, the Casper ecosystem has been constantly growing with more participants exploring and interacting with it. It is with great pleasure that we look back at over 1 million blocks added on top of the Genesis Block, telling the story of what Casper has achieved so far and foretelling what new milestones the future holds for the Casper Blockchain.
Casper Mainnet went live on 31st March, 2021 and in a little over 16 months following the launch we continued to build, having pushed significant network updates and expanded functionality, and will be fully releasing one of the world's most advanced NFT contract standards CEP-78 on mainnet soon. We’re inspired by the projects that are building and growing on Casper everyday and proud of the trust and confidence placed in Casper from businesses and creators worldwide. Embodied and eternalized in the first 1 million blocks since mainnet launch, our journey so far can be traced in block hashes.

Our new milestone of 1 million blocks showcases the sophistication and historical beginnings of the Casper blockchain. Since the beginning, Casper blockchain has helped new and bold ideas come to life across nearly 650,000 deploys and fostered an accelerating ecosystem. In those 1 million blocks, the community has transferred billions of CSPR, minted NFTs (including from space), bridged tokens to other blockchain networks, issued patents on chain, auctioned valuable asset backed NFTs of whiskey casks as well as swelled ecosystem growth across; Tooling, Explorers, Oracles, Wallets, Validators, Staking Pools, Games, DAOs, DeFi, Partners, CeFi and Software Houses. And we’re only scratching the surface!
All achieved thanks to Casper advantages such as predictable network fees, upgradeable contracts, on-chain governance, privacy flexibility, and developer-friendly languages. Casper has gained wide support from our global community in which 73% of total supply of CSPR is staked securing the network and available on over 30 exchanges.
Today's recognition and milestone is in gratitude to our devoted community. It has been a global effort across 5 continents and we look forward to reaching the next million in new block heights, advanced blockchain development, business solutions and usage.
