We recently had the pleasure of connecting with developers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members in Turkey at the Ecosystem Connect Istanbul event. During the X Space session, Alizee delved into the details of the event and gave us a recap. She began by highlighting the strategic importance of Turkey in the blockchain landscape: "Turkey represents a unique blend of high crypto adoption, a pool of talented engineers and developers, and a thriving gaming community. This makes it an ideal location for blockchain innovation."

Alizee shared her experiences and key takeaways from the event, emphasizing its impact on strengthening Casper's presence in Turkey. "The Casper Ecosystem Connect in Istanbul was an incredible opportunity for us to engage directly with our vibrant community there, and to forge meaningful connections with local blockchain enthusiasts and professionals," she said.

The participating Casper team focused on showcasing Casper’s capabilities through community workshops and presentations as well as exploring potential collaborations. "We had the opportunity to interact with various groups - from university blockchain hubs to gaming studios like Hungri Games. Our discussions were centered around exploring how Casper can support and collaborate with these dynamic segments."

Alizee mentioned a new collaboration with Hungri Games, emphasizing the potential of launching their new game on the Casper blockchain. "We are exploring exciting avenues with Hungri Games, particularly their new racing game, Metahorse Unity, a part of which can launch on Casper.”

Alizee's remarks from Istanbul shed light on Casper's approach for the year 2024: the role of gaming as a key part of the creative economy.

A representative from MAKE gave a presentation focused on Casper Click, featuring an in-depth demonstration of the tool's functionalities and its utility within the Casper ecosystem. The session offered immense value to developers, providing them with insights on how to optimize their work and enhance efficiency within the ecosystem.

Casper Click stands out as a tool crafted to enrich and streamline the developer experience on the Casper platform. It acts as a comprehensive SDK, offering immediate integration with every Casper-compatible wallet. This means developers can integrate once and have access to every wallet that works with Casper, significantly reducing the time to market and future maintenance efforts. For users, Casper Click promises a uniform and universal user experience, facilitating interaction with Casper Click-enabled dApps in a familiar way reminiscent of web 2.0 experiences.

Alizée provided an update on the Casper Accelerate Grant Program, noting its traction and the quality of applications received. "We had over 40 applications in August and 27 in September so far. While many proposals were innovative, we are focused on mature teams with clear business plans knowledgeable about Casper," she stated.

Alizee shared exciting developments about Casper's growing global footprint. She mentioned Casper's partnership with Router Protocol and Rocket X: "We're very excited to be working with them. Our ambition here is to build the foundation and the infrastructure in terms of DeFi infrastructure and interoperability with other great ecosystems."

Alizee also teased upcoming projects that align with Casper's vision for the creator economy, particularly one focusing on managing musical IP. "We're on the verge of finalizing an agreement with a platform aimed at revolutionizing how musical IP is managed and utilized. This aligns perfectly with our mission to empower independent artists and content creators through blockchain," she added. Stay tuned for more updates on new projects.

Following Alizee’s insights, the spotlight turned to Helix Markets. Gorazd Ocvirk, one of the co-founders of Helix Markets, took the stage to discuss their journey and the unique approach they are bringing to the blockchain space.

Helix Markets is a multi-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) that aims to revolutionize the DeFi landscape. Distinguished by its innovative approach, Helix Markets stands out for integrating multiple blockchain protocols natively, rather than relying on asset bridging across a single ecosystem.

"Our vision was to challenge the traditional competition model among different blockchains," Gorazd explained. With over 275 blockchains competing for liquidity, Gorazd and his team created a platform where users could access multiple chains through a single onboarding point.

"At Helix, we don't believe in bridging assets across a single ecosystem. Instead, we're built natively on each integrated blockchain, which eliminates the need for middleware bridging," Gorazd stated.

He highlighted their commitment to a superior web3 user experience, especially on mobile platforms, which constitute a significant portion of Helix’s user base. "We've focused on developing a seamless mobile experience. Our app works as a progressive web app on any Android or iOS device," he added. Helix Markets also prioritizes intuitive user interfaces and efficient trading experiences, including building its own matching engine and introducing innovative features like synthetic swaps.

Discussing the integration with Casper, Gorazd mentioned the smooth process facilitated by the shared Rust-based codebase. "The natural fit of Rust in our backend made integrating with Casper a seamless experience," he said.
