NFTs on Casper offer enhanced utility and functionality, broadening opportunities for creators to achieve a deeper audience engagement; and as for the users, a unique experience with exceptional customization. All made possible by Casper’s low gas fees, upgradability, and tailored token standards.
Launching this Friday, December 20th, on Casper Mainnet, APOC was built from the ground up to utilize Casper’s capabilities. Featuring 10,000 unique, Casper-exclusive NFTs, APOC introduces an expansive, 80s-themed pre-apocalyptic world where NFTs play a key role in gameplay, affecting everything from access to restricted areas to character progression.
APOC NFTs are designed to evolve with the ecosystem, gaining new attributes and functionality over time. Casper’s low transaction fees allow players to loot, trade, and upgrade NFTs without prohibitive costs, making the rich, dynamic gameplay accessible to all players in the APOC universe.
The CEP-78 NFT standard powers APOC’s unique Loot System, combining utility with the thrill of discovery in pre-apocalyptic Oregon. Players can loot items and trade them with Duke the Nuke, an in-game NPC trader. Each looted item is an NFT attached to the player’s APOC character metadata and can be traded for other loot items, swapped for $APOC token or listed for CSPR.
Venturing into the APOC world as a squad offers advantages. Players can unlock the power of teamwork with up to 4 APOC NFT characters in a squad, boosting their chances of minting rare Loot NFTs.
Loot is essential for survival and trading. APOC loot impacts the player’s strategy, with weapons and gear offering specific advantages in different zones.
For example, barbed baseball bats excel in close-quarters combat, while gas masks grant access to toxic areas rich with rare loot. Items like shovels are vital for uncovering buried loot and gathering food, boosting the player’s chances of survival. Rarer finds, like the Ectoplasm Rifle, grant extra power to help protect hard-earned loot, while night vision goggles enable longer stays in night timezones, increasing access to high-quality loot. Each piece of loot enriches the journey, adding perks that influence how each player explores and endures this immersive world.
The Loot you find is airdropped or claimed as unique Loot NFTs that can be traded in the marketplace, listed for CSPR, swapped with Duke The Nuke for APOC Tokens or traded for items with other players, giving the players the flexibility to strategize and enhance their journey further.
“We created APOC to be much more than just a PFP NFT project. APOC is a labor of love that starts simple but is designed to evolve over time. It's for fans of horror films, mystery, and rich storytelling—a community-driven experience set in the 80s, that encourages people to come together, chat, have fun, and barter. APOC is about building a place where the community connects over a shared experience for the immersive world of APOC.” - HodlShark, Founder & Managing Director of APOC
On Friday 20th December, 10,000 APOC NFTs will be minted on Casper Network. APOC NFT comes with over 100’s of unique traits ranging from weapons to accessories.
In Phase Two, a marketplace will launch where players can buy, sell, and trade items like weapons, accessories, and other gear. APOC is an evolving project aspiring to boost on-chain activity and encourage community involvement.
Alongside APOC NFTs, $APOC– a CEP-18 token exclusive to Casper, will serve as both a utility and reward system. Players can earn $APOC by exploring Zones, collecting rare items, and reaching milestones. It is possible to trade the discovered Loot for $APOC tokens.
NFT holders qualify for a free allocation. The more APOC Characters held, the higher the amount of $APOC tokens users will be eligible for in the airdrop. $APOC will be available on Friendly Market and more information about the token will be shared in the coming weeks.
