Coming a year after our 1 million block height celebration, this achievement isn't just about numbers; it's a story of progress, lessons, and success over the past year. Journeying from 1 Million to 2 Million Blocks
Since the Casper mainnet's launch on 31st March 2021, our goal was clear: build a blockchain that's secure, adaptable, future-proof and designed for ease of development. Seeing the doubled block count reminds us of the progress made, a journey made possible by our team, our partners, and our incredible community.
Here are some of the most important milestones we hit since the one-millionth block.
- The Casper Developer Portal was launched to enhance the developer experience for building on Casper by providing well-organized, comprehensive documentation, and easy access to tutorials and code samples. Since its launch, the portal has become a community hub for developers to learn from one another.
- The Dev Rewards program was introduced as a new initiative to incentivize and reward developers contributing to the Casper Network's growth. Offering rewards ranging from $100 to $1,000 in CSPR tokens, the program aims to strengthen community ties and enrich the Casper Network by valuing developer contributions.
- Casper’s unique NFT standard CEP-78 was released, introducing the concept of dynamic NFTs, allowing creators to upgrade their NFTs. The unique feature set of the standard became the bedrock of a vibrant NFT ecosystem that allows for a sustainable and more empowered creator economy.
- Casper teams attended premier blockchain events across the globe. From Paris Blockchain Week and Next Block Expo Berlin to Consensus 2023 and Blockchain Economy Istanbul Summit, we had the pleasure of gathering with developers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from the industry.
- We unveiled the refreshed Casper brand, symbolizing our expanding influence in the global market and the trust placed in us by our community and partners. The revamped brand identity captured Casper’s commitment to progress and adaptability.
- We launched the Casper Podcast. Our podcast series offers a comprehensive archive, cataloging both recent and previous episodes, facilitating exploration into the discussion around blockchain, Web3, and the decentralized web. Listeners can easily access insightful conversations uncovering the latest innovations and industry insights.
