Casper at NFT Paris 2024: Highlights from Paris

NFT Paris returned to its iconic venue, the Grand Palais Éphémère for its highly anticipated 3rd edition, and as always, Casper was at the epicenter of the discussions related to NFTs.

The event took place on February 23-24, 2024, with Casper enjoying a great location right in the center of the floor, where traffic and interest in Casper NFTs were nonstop. With over 100 exhibitors and immersive installations, the event provided a unique platform for exploring the capabilities of the CEP-78 NFT standard for builders, developers, and users. The excitement began to build as discussions on leveraging Casper's NFT standard to enhance the utility of existing projects got underway.

At NFT Paris 2024, Outlaw Dogs, building on the Casper blockchain, presented an exclusive preview of their impending public launch, offering 500 $OGD to registered attendees. Outlaw Dogs will leverage Casper NFT standards to create new and engaging mechanics in their Web3 game.

Speaking of partners launching on Casper, Beast League, an eagerly awaited game launched recently and promises to redefine player engagement with its innovative use of Casper's unique NFT capabilities. Previously, the developers of Beast League have highlighted the importance of community feedback in evolving the game's design, a task made feasible by Casper's upgradable smart contracts.

While the innovative and creative ambiance of NFT Paris was captivating we had a unique interaction with the visitors. Casper's booth became a hot spot for new ideas, drawing in creative minds ready to share their cutting-edge Web3 projects and business ideas. Visitors pitched their ideas to possibly grab a spot in the second season of Killer Whales – known as the Shark Tank of the Web3 world.

Casper's role as the Official Blockchain Partner of Killer Whales is a part of our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting builders in the blockchain space, we were happy to offer this unique opportunity to our visitors in Paris.

One of the judges of the show, and Community and Partnership Lead at Yuga Labs, IllaDaProducer, joined Casper Association Head of Content, Joe Benso at our booth, and shared his view about the show as well as the general state of the NFT market.

"I think the space was founded to embody creativity. For mass adoption, it involves some of the world's greatest creatives, whether they're digital artists, musicians, photographers, or others who can view this space as a blank canvas and paint the most vibrant landscapes,” said Illa during his conversation with Joe.

Another participant to join us at our booth was Jacob Timperley, Co-founder of the NFT project Chimpers.  When asked about his advice to project founders, he said:

"Maintaining the core ethos of Web3 is essential in fostering a thriving community. It's about being open and genuine in community-building efforts, ensuring that the principles of decentralization, transparency, and user empowerment remain at the heart of every initiative. This approach preserves the spirit of Web3 while cultivating a more engaged and committed community.”
